CMA celebrated 46th foundation
day

The 46TH
Foundation Day of Chandigarh Management Association [CMA] was celebrated at
CII, sector 31, today with interactive session on Building Brand of SMEs in
Globalised Era.
Mr. R.V.S.
Minhas, CEO, Bharat IT services, Mr. S.J.Raj, Senior VP, New Gen Software,
Dr.R.S.Bawa, VC, Chandigarh University were the speakers on the occasion. Dr.
P.K.Vasudeva was the moderator while Dr. Manoj K.Sharma, President, CMA
presided over the event.
Induction
ceremony of 32 new members was also a highlight of the occasion which was
graced by Past presidents Dr Anshu Kataria, Col Karamjeet, Mr Brij Gulati and
Mr Gurdeep S. Deep, Sh A.K.Babber and Vice president Sh A.K. Gandhi and
secretary general Ms. Madulika Kak.
Dr. Manoj
K.Sharma, President, CMA in his inaugural address stressed that in era of
globalization small business have to see big picture of business from a small
window and must think big and then set and change their goals with changing
times. This will go a long way in developing brand. He stressed that many
brands have been developed by small business in India and done wonders, while
business with narrow outlook have perished over a period of time.
Mr.
R.V.S.Minhas, Chief Operating officer of Bharat IT services in his address to
professionals of tricity pointed out that attitude towards timely deliverance
and adherence to quality products& services play a significant role in
building of a brand. He emphasized that in globalised era, low prices, availability
of differentiated products with short life cycle of product and retail monopoly
of products with coming of FDI in retail is serious challenge to the
sustainability of small business in India ,what to talk of building brands.
Mr. S.J.Raj,
Senior VP, of New Gen Software, a recognized brand in western world form a
small business, outlined that his company stressed on three basics of
developing a brand, close customer contact, developing global clients and
constant innovation. .
Dr.R.S.Bawa,
Vice Chancellor, of Chandigarh University, stressed that employee centric
approach followed by him in GND University, played a significant role in
developing brand of excellence centre in northern India.
Dr.
P.K.Vasudeva, in his presidential remarks stressed that CMA has developed a
brand for itself in promoting professionalism in management in tricity, which
get reflected in tremendous increase in membership of CMA in last one year
Ms. Madulika
Kak, secretary general of CMA thanked the members for adopting best managerial
practices in their daily life. She also emphasized on the fact that CMA as a
brand is fortunate to have distinguished members as great brand ambassadors of
CMA. She also emphasized that CMA is constantly striving to upgrade Quality
,service, recall value and has members who are motivated to give value added
service to CMA.Ms Kak also said that Quality input from each member can ensure
Quality output for maintaining of brand CMA.
