Sikhs' Plight During 1978 - 1984
& Onwards !
SGPC
had passed Resolution on 9th March 1946 for establishing a Sikh
State. Why it was not pursued by Master Tara Singh, Baldev
Singh, Bhai Vir Singh, Bhai Randhir Singh,
Khalsa Gurbachan Singh Bhindranvale and other Sikh leaders, especially when British rulers were having
negations with three Parties viz. the
Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs ???
If
Draft Constitution of India was not signed by S. Hukam Singh (Arora) & S.
Bhopinder Singh (Mann), how they had subsequently taken Oath under the same Constitution, and how the Sikhs have been
contesting Elections since 1952 ? Some other
Sikh Representatives must have put their signatures. Please find out who were they ?
On
13th April 1978, (13) Sikhs were killed at Amritsar under Junta
Government when Parkash Singh Badal was Punjab Chief Minister and
Surjit Singh Barnala was Central Cabinet
Minister. Why they did not arrest the killers, but in fact, helped their safe journey to Delhi in official cars ?
Then
happenings of 1981 onward are eye-opener but most of the Sikh Leaders
& Scholars see with one eye only. Has anyone ever tried to look into Entry under: “JARNAIL SINGH BHINDRANVALE, SANT
(1947-1984)” at pages 352 to 354 of THE
ENCYLOPAEDIA OF SIKHISM, Volume Two, Edition 1996
published by Punjabi University, Patiala ? Also four letters reproduced in Book: “CHAKRAVAYUH: WEB OF INDIAN SECULARISM”, Edition
2000 by Prof. Gurtej Singh, former
IAS/IPS/Lecturer, published by Institute of Sikh Studies, Chandigarh (at pages 180 to 183) ? Why those Sikh Leaders,
who have been rejoicing cosy positions since
then, are not telling the truth ?
It
is a pity that even after lapse of over (30) years, no one has dared to dig up
the TRUTH by calling a spade a spade ? By exchanging & repeating the same Email messages amongst ourselves have not
achieved any fruitful result.
Gurmit
Singh (Sydney)
