India Using Rape As A Weapon of Occupation

India Using Rape As A Weapon of Occupation:
George Galloway
Geneva, Switzerland. June 9, 2011.
British parliamentarian George
Galloway a veteran campaigner on Kashmir spoke to the seminar at the UN in Geneva, entitled, “Defending the Democratic Processes.” The seminar was a parallel activity, organized by International Educational Development and co-sponsored by IIFSO, IHRAAM and WMC. The seminar presented the views of persons involved in some of the situations where the will of the people has prevailed, as well as persons involved in situations where the will of the people has been frustrated.
Galloway sketched the role of "Perfidious Albion" the British Empire in the creation of the Kashmiri suffering and compared it to the situation in Palestine, another British crime.
Except said Galloway the suffering of the Kashmiris was even greater. Eighty thousand had died in the more than twenty year freedom struggle, uncountable numbers had been wounded and maimed, mass imprisonment and exile and even the use of rape as a tool of occupation had been the lot of the Kashmiris said Galloway. And yet he said the only demand of the occupied people of Kashmir was for the right to vote. The same right the west claims to support in the Arab Spring, for the Libyans and the Syrians for example.
All Kashmiris want is what was promised to them by the UN he said. A simple plebiscite. Recalling the promise made by the great Indian Prime Minister Mr. Nehru to abide by this UN resolution, Galloway called on what he described as the great India to solve this issue by keeping Mr. Nehru’s promise.
Galloway hailed Arundhati Roy who was visiting London whilst he was in Geneva and her powerful messages to India on the issue of Kashmir. Listen to one of your greatest daughters, he said. She is not a Kashmiri and she is not a Muslim. She is though a jewel in the crown of India. She too is crying out for justice for the people of occupied Kashmir. And she too is saying that Kashmir was never the part of India.
Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Executive Director, Kashmiri American Council Kashmir Center said that 2011 has proved to be one of the most dramatic periods in recent history, and it is only half finished. The citizens in a number of countries (Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen) have protested long-entrenched oppressive regimes and have toppled them to restore democracy and governance of the will of the people. Citizen participation and engagement has also increased in established democracies, as people demand fair labor standards, transparency, and basic rights. There are several current struggles against oppressive regimes that are still ongoing, with varying levels of international action.
Fai said that there are several situations where protest against long-standing occupation and oppression remains frustrated in spite of the rights inherent with the right to self-determination and the will of the people as the basis of political power. A major case of this is the situation in Kashmir, where the citizenry has protested peacefully against the occupying Indian forces to no avail, in spite of UN Security Council resolutions giving them the right to a plebiscite under UN auspices.
Dr. Fai warned that some nations have exploited the war against global terrorism to deny democratic processes and democratic values to its people.  The global campaign against terrorism should not have lead us into a war to defend the tyrant regimes and dictatorial governments. Yet, that is exactly what is happening.  Many countries are misusing their support to the United States in her war against global terrorism by persecuting human rights defenders, and by terrorizing human rights activists.  One such example is that of India in Occupied Kashmir.
Dr. Fai quoted President Obama who said in the Indian Parliament on November 10, 2010 that India should not shy away from taking a hard position on human rights violations in Myanmar . But unfortunately, President Obama did shy away from taking a hard position on human rights violations in Kashmir, despite the fact that the United States was the principle sponsor of the resolution 47 which was adopted by the United Nations Security Council on April 21, 1948. This resolution clearly states that the future of Kashmir must be ascertained in accordance with the wishes and the will of the people.
Fai highlighted the duplicity of the world powers by saying Dr. Fai reiterated that on one hand, the world powers denounced Iraq’s occupation of Kuwait as it was against the norms and the principles of international relations.  But they are silent over the occupation of Kashmir by India which is a share violation of international norms and United Nations Security Council resolutions. If Iraq’s occupation of Kuwait was not justified and did not stand, similarly the India’s occupation of Kashmir is not justified and should not stand, Fai added.
Kashmir issue cannot  and must not be resolved militarily. It is a political issue and needs to be resolved only through peaceful political means.  So, the first step is that there has to be a cease-fire from all sides that must be followed by negotiations.  Negotiations cannot and should not be carried out at a time when parties are killing each other.   Kashmir must be demilitarized, on the one hand, and de-terrorized on the other, Fai said.
Dr. Karen Parker, IED delegate to the United Nations said that  The United Nations determined many years ago that the Kashmiri people have the right to self-determination and set up a plan for realizing this right and resolving what was then a political and military crisis between India and Pakistan over the disposition of Kashmir. However, this plan was not implemented and the Kashmiri right to self-determine is as yet unrealized. India and Pakistan have continued to fight over Kashmir -- a fight that has generated several wars and many military skirmishes between them. Kashmir situation continues to haunt the world, especially now that both India and Pakistan are declared nuclear powers. The Kashmiri people continue to suffer from serious human rights and humanitarian law violations in the course of India’s military actions against them.

Parker said unfortunately, review of the current situation of the Kashmiri peoples’ right to self-determination shows that it has been reduced to political rhetoric or is even absent from discussion. However, ignoring the right cannot annul it. Further, it should be patently obvious that the crisis in and over Kashmir will not be resolved without renewed acknowledgment and commitment of the world powers to realize the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people. Then and only then can a peace plan go forward that has potential to succeed.
“Restoration of the right to self-determination to its proper status in discussions and actions to resolve the crisis and achieve a final disposition of Kashmir will not be easy, but there is no alternative: without the Kashmiri people deciding for themselves as promised by the United Nations this crisis will continue ad infinitum. As a minimum, both India and Pakistan would have to allow the Kashmiri people to make their choice -- politically difficult for both India and Pakistan and perhaps for the Kashmiri people themselves. For this to occur at all, the international community must return to the original plan with firm resolve and active leadership. Discussions should focus on how to establish conditions for the plebiscite and then on actually organizing it. At all stages the Kashmiri people and their leadership should be involved.
Mr. Altaf Wani, Representative of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference said that the principles of democracy and self-determination are related on more than just a philosophical level. The practice of self-determination usually requires a democratic process to determine the choice of a people when exercising that right.
Wani emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were given the right ot self-determination by no less an authority than the United Nations Security Council. The denial of the right to self-determination has led to a regime of human rights violations, rape, torture, enforced disappearances and arbitary arrests are every day affair in Indian occupied Kashmir. And India has maintained the policy of repression and subjugation and intimidation.
“The conspiracy of silence over gross affronts to Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Jammu and Kashmir itself violates still binding United Nations Security Council resolutions. The silence of world powers has emboldened India to a chilling campaign of human rights atrocities against innocent Kashmir's” Wani concluded.
Dr. Marjan Lucas, Global Affairs expert from Netherlands said, the popular uprising in Arab countries thrilled civil society in East and West, North and South. Everybody feels encouraged by the Arab Spring and so do Kashmiris who struggle for freedom since last 6 decades already.
Lucas said that the Kashmiri people reject the notion that the Kashmir conflict is merely a territorial and bilateral issue between India and Pakistan. The people of Kashmir must be acknowledged as the third and primary party to the dispute. The human dimension of the conflict should be of major importance to the world at large.
“The genuine civil society actors on the ground are crucial to be acknowledged in their role in triggering socio-political transition. The Arab Spring shows how important it is that people on the streets feel a sense of ownership in the revolutionary process. I fear that usual elite, the promising Spring will soon turn into a sad autumn and the people on the streets who risked their lives will turn the back to the process and seek their own roadmaps to an uncertain future,” Lucas added
Dr. Suaad Alfitouri, Libyab expert from Britain said over the last 42 years, Libyan people have been living under one of the most brutal and oppressive regimes in the world, headed by Colonal Gaddafi who came to power through a military coup.
She said that Gaddafi's rule over these decades was one of misery, sufferings and oppression of his own people, examples of which are too many to count. Self obsessed and intoxicated with power, he didn't hesitate from using fatal weapons and bombs against peaceful demonstrations. He bombed even houses and mosques killing thousands of people including children, women and elderly people.
Alfitouri pleaded to the world community that revolutionaries are in dire need of their support and help. These brave people of Libya are fighting courageously against the most tyrant regime of our time. Lack of support by the world is increasing their misery as more than 50,000 people have died so far and thousands are missing. People of Tripoli are under siege and have been made hostages while people of Zawia, Mistrata and Zintan are under direct attack. This situation demands immediate action by the world community as any delaying tactics could further harm our struggle and can strengthen Gaddaffi’s forces.
She said Libyans do not support any negotiation with Gaddafi regime as they have committed crimes against humanity.
Ms. Khanien Latif of Iraq could not attend due to the delay in her flight. However, her statement which was read by Taimoor Alliassi read that over the 90 years of the Iraqi Government's rule, Kurdistan has always bee the center of conflicts and political - military struggle with the central government in Baghdad. The population of Kurdistan has been subjected to policies of genocide and mass destruction. There is no guarantee that mass murder and genocide will not be committed against Kurds again. Obviously, these events have had negative impact on the progress of the democratic transition in the region.
The statement of Ms. Latif furthers read that the women equality, freedom of expression, civil rights are only provided when people feel safe in a stable country. However, what is happening in Iraq goes against this will. Under pretext of fear, people have been deprived from many of their rights. The seminar concluded after a lively question and answer session.

MEMORANDUM

The Hon N. Pillay
High Commissioner
United Nations High Commission for Human Rights, UN Human Rights Council
Palais des Nations, CH 1211 Geneva 10
SWITZERLAND
9th June, 2011

Your Excellency Mrs Pillay,

HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS AND GENOCIDE IN PARTICULAR OF SIKHS IN THEIR HOLY AND HISTORICAL LAND, PUNJAB, AND THE NON-HINDU MINORITIES I IN GENERAL IN PREDOMINANTLY HINDU INDIA

We, the Sikhs of Switzerland, European countries and North America, would like to apprise you, your Excellency, of human rights abuses of the Sikhs and other non-Hindu minorities in India which have taken place since 15th August, 1947. This was
the day when the British India authorities transferred political power to the ‘unelected’ Hindu leadership and left the non-Hindu minorities, especially the Sikhs, at the mercy of the majority, the Hindus. Since receiving political power from the British Empire, despite the protest of the Sikhs at large and their leadership for not returning their first sovereign and independent Sikh Raj of South Asia, of their forefathers and monarch, Ranjit Singh (1799-1849). The predominantly Hindu India has exterminated more than 1.4 to 2.3 million Sikhs, more than one million in the decade of 1981-91 (Singh S 1995 The Sikhs in History ISBN 0-96475555-0-5; Dilgeer HS and Sekhon AS 1992 The Sikhs’ Struggle for Sovereignty An Historical Perspective (ed) A T Kerr ISBN 0-9695964-1-3 University of Alberta P O, Edmonton, AB T6G 2S5, Canada; Sekhon AS Dilgeer HS 1999 A White Paper On Khalistan (A True Story) The Sikh Nation (ed) AT Kerr ISBN 0-9695964-8-0; Sekhon AS Dilgeer HS 2002 India Kills the Sikhs, 3rd Ed, ISBN 0-9695964-9-9; Sekhon AS 2005 India’s Genocides of Sikhs, 1981-1991: History Revisited Int J Sikh Affairs 15(2), 28, 2005 (Chief Guest Editor: AT Kerr) ISSN 1481-5435; Sekhon AS 2010 The Sikhs: Sovereignty To Slavery ISBN 978-0-9811360-8-0). Since the brutal military “Operation Bluestar” of June, 1984, more than 260,000 Sikh infants, children, youth, male and female folks have been slaughtered [Int J Sikh Affairs 10(2): 27-29, 2000 ISSN 1481-5435; Sekhon AS 2000 Proc 8th Sikh Edu Conf, Toronto, ON, Sept 23; Walia AS Sudan TS 2001 Genesis of State Terrorism in Punjab. Likewise, Hindu India has systematically killed other non-Hindu minorities (more than 500,000 Muslims; over 110,000 Kashmiri Muslims of the Internationally Disputed Areas of Jammu and Kashmir since 1988; more than 312,500 Christians; hundreds of thousands of Dalits, adivaasis (aboriginals or Moolnivasi of India), in numerous genocides, pogroms, massacres and staged encounters (25 Years After 1984 Assault on Durbar Sahib Laying Foundation of Khalistan (ed) Dr Awatar Singh Sekhon, June 2009, ISBN 0-9548929-4-1,a publication of London Institute of South Asia). Addressing the House of
Representatives, Congress of the United States, the Hon Edolphus Towns, Member of Congress, said on 28th March, 2006 “Sikh activists Kanwarpal Singh Dhami and Dr. Jagjit Singh Chohan (now deceased) were arrested by the Indian Government on charges of sedition. Their crime was to speak in support of a sovereign Sikh Nation, Khalistan . Dr. Chohan also flur the Khalistan’s flag from his residence. When did free speech become a crime in a democracy? The Sikh homeland of Khalistan declared itself independent from India on October 7, 1987.” On 21st March, 2006, in a press release, Dr Gurmit Singh Aulakh, President of the Council of Khalistan, Washington DC, said, “What kind of democracy watches people for demanding freedom? Why don't they watch the Black Cats who have killed thousands of Sikhs under the protection of the Indian government?''
We would like to bring to your notice that the Sikh Nation, Punjab, the 'First Sovereign and Secular' nation of South Asia of monarch Ranjit Singh, 1799 to 14th March, 1849, was 'robbed' by the alleged Indian democracy on 15th August, 1947. The Sikhs' constitutional rights, Sikh religion and Sikh traditions were 'swallowed' in the Indian Constitution 1950, Article 25. The very Constitution 1950 was 'rejected', in the Indian parliament (Lok Sabha), in its draft and final forms, in 1948, 26 November 1949, 1950 and more recently on 6th September 1966. The Sikhs' elected representatives who 'rejected' the Constitution, on behalf of their people or constituents of Punjab, were Sardar Hukam Singh, Sardar Bhupinder Singh Maan and Sirdar Kapur Singh, ICS, MP, MLA and the National Professor of Sikhism. Since their 'rejection of the Indian Constitution 1950', none of the Sikhs' elected representatives has accepted/ endorsed /signed the Indian Constitution implemented by the deceitful, divisive, devious and apartheid practicing alleged Indian democracy of the 'Brahmins-Hindus'. It must be considered seriously that under what Constitutional rights, the apartheid practicing alleged Indian democracy has been ruling the 'Sikhs of Punjab (including Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjabi-speaking areas of Punjab/Sikh Nation/the Sikh Raj of Ranjit Singh) since 15th August, 1947? The Sikhs of Punjab's story does not end here. Rather it has been continuing, since the Sikh Nation has been under the 'slavery and Tight Control' of the oppressive and suppressive alleged Indian democracy of the 'Brahmins- Hindus', who had been 'subservient' to the Afghans, Mughals, Sikhs, British, Portuguese, etc., for more than 3,500 years. Additionally, the excesses of the Indian forces can be summarized as follows:
On 5th November, 1978, the Hindu India police of Delhi fired at a Sikh procession and killed four Sikhs, including the president of the Delhi Akali Party [Sekhon AS and Dilgeer HS 1999, 2006 A White Paper On Khalistan (A True Story) The Sikh Nation (ed) A T Kerr ISBN 0-9695964-8-0]. Acting Mukh-Sewadar, or Chief of Akal Takht Sahib, the Supreme Seat of the Sikh Polity, Amritsar, Singh Sahib Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaunke, was abducted on 20th December 1993, tortured, killed and his body dumped in a canal on 3rd January 1994.
On October 27, 1995, the Human Rights activist of the Akali Dal (Badal), Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra, was killed at the Chhabal police station, Amritsar. His body was thrown into the Harike Canal. A police officer, A. S. Sandhu (supposedly committed suicide), abducted a Sikh religious leader, Charan Singh, tortured him and was made to dispose of his body. Earlier, the same police officer had abducted Charan Singh’s brother and his driver. The latter was killed by tying his legs to two jeeps, which were driven off in opposite directions.
A former Punjab administration headed by a corrupt Sikh, Prakash Sinh Badal, attacked the Darbar Sahib Complex (mistakenly known as the Golden Temple Complex) on 7th February, 1998, desecrated its sanctity and deposed, using his state powers, Badal forcibly removed the Senior Minister or Custodian of Akal Takht Sahib, the Supreme Seat of the Sikh Polity, Bhai Ranjit Singh. The administration of Prakash Sinh Badal, has spent more than 20 million rupees for legal fees to protect the police officers who participated in the genocide of the Sikhs. Voted, under the Constitution of India, which has been ‘rejected by the Sikhs repeatedly’, out of the Punjab’s administration, for his maneuvering, his collision (Badal and associates’) with a Hindu militants and fundamentalists party, the Brahtiya Janata Party (BJP), is back as the Chief of the Punjab. Prakash Sinh Badal, is an agent of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW; Gurtej Singh 2000 Chakarvyuh: Web of Indian Secularism ISBN 81- 85815-14-3) and a staunch turbaned Hindu in ‘The Sikh Identity’. Prakash Badal has kept his lips ‘sealed’ when the Punjab Legislative Assembly debated the ‘Freedom of Press, news media and the free speech recently (www.rozanaspokesman.com,8th-13th March, 2008). The freedom of speech and expression are the fundamental human rights in any democracy. This is the clear reflection of the democratic or ‘autocratic’ nature of Mr Badal.
His administration and police personnel are abused the Indian Penal Code Article 188, against Dr Sukhpreet Singh Udhoke of Amritsar. These are a few examples of the democracy of the New Delhi administration’s (NDA) blessed administration of Prakash Badal and his Akalis alliance with the BJP, in the Sikhs’ holy and historic Homeland of Sikhs, Punjab. On February 6, 2000, the death of a Dalit youth in police custody in Morinda, Ludhiana, was horrifying. He was killed in cold blood because he objected to police’s drinking session at a public place. This incidence revived memories of the dark period in the history of Punjab when countless innocent young men were killed in false encounters, but police records turned them into ruthless terrorists.
A mother of six sons, Bibi Jaswant Kaur, lost her husband in 1987. Three of her six sons succumbed to tuberculosis. The other three were abducted and killed by Punjab police. One of the three sons, Pragat Singh, 23-yrs-old, was arrested in 1987, kept in
captivity for 14 months. After his release police raided his home on 9th September 1988, and shot him dead. The eldest son, Jagir Singh, 25-yrs-old, working as a volunteer in a Taran Taran Gurdwara, was taken by the police and did not return. The
youngest son, Mohinder Singh (20-yrs-old) was with the religious man, Baba Charan Singh (see above). He was abducted by the police on 14th June 1991 and died in police custody. Jaswant Kaur has tried all possible avenues to get justice, but has had
no luck (jkaurgrewal@yahoo.com; March 20, 2001; post #4181; http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/sikhyouth;<http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/sikhyouth>). Even outside India, Sikhs being harassed by the Indian government and its allies, according to the Hon Edolphus Towns, MC (Extensions of Remarks - February 27, 2001). Miscreants stormed a church and ransacked the premises while a spiritual meeting and prayers were in progress in Hyderabad, A P  (www.burningpunjab.com; 24th March, 2001).
A group of men killed their rape victim, a mother of seven, in the village of Singana and then gouged out the eyes of two witnesses in India's lawless eastern state of Bihar, the Press Trust of India reported Thursday (February 8, 2001; AFP). The rapists then used the woman's sickle to hack her to death. They then attacked four labourers who witnessed the crime. Since 1998, Christian missionaries including one from Australia (Father Graham Stains), his 8- & 10-yr-old sons, and Roman Catholic nuns, have been killed, burnt alive or raped by the Hindu fundamentalists. The burning, destruction and demolishing of the Houses of God of the non-Hindu minorities, the Sikh Gurdwaras, Churches and Mosques, looting and desecrating of the holy and historical places of the non-Hindu minorities are the modus operandi of successive Indian administrations and state- sponsored hoodlums (Hon John T Doolittle, MC India Coalition Partner Threaten To Engulf Country In Violence, House of Representatives, July 27, 2000, The US Congress; Hon Edolphus Towns, MC July 27, 2000. Christian Persecution in India, House of Representatives, The US Congress).
Militant Hindu hoodlums in Uttarpara, West Bengal, attacked a train carrying Sikh pilgrims and the Sikh Holy scriptures, Guru Granth Sahib, in June, 2001. The Hindu hoodlums stoned the Sikh pilgrims, burned the Holy Scriptures, and tried to set fire to
the train (Press Release: Council of Khalistan. Train Attack Is Wake-Up Call for Sikh Nation, June 27, 2001< cok@khalistan.com>). In an affidavit filed on 28th August, 2000, by Mr Sartaj Singh, resident of Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir (under the occupation of Indian administration), Internationally Disputed areas by the United Nations, stated that he was tortured and received painful psychological harassment by the Indian police. The police personnel wanted him to confess for the things, which he never did. The police personnel also wanted him to tell the whereabouts of Neeta alias Ranjit Singh, a freedom fighter, Harbhajan Singh, Gian Singh and Joginder Singh, who are at large. The police personnel wanted him to make a false confession that ‘we all know one another’.
Miss Manorama of Manipur was gang raped by the men of the Assam Rifles and was thrown out of the headquarters after mutilating her private parts in July, 2004. More recently (9th February, 2005), a 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a constable of the force in central Assam’s Karbi Anglong district, triggering protests from women’s organizations. In a blatant violation of human rights, the district police today tortured a Dalit youth to death after he refused to accept his involvement in a theft case (Jalandhar, February 6’ tibruneindia.com).
The World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance reports that "since the Indian forces occupation, more than 195,000 innocent Kashmiris have been killed; more than 110,000 have disappeared, and the latter have been killed by the invader's troops or they have been
languishing in Indian jails with no information to their families. In the last three months, the death toll the ongoing Kashmiri unrest is 96, as another youth Yasir Rafiq Sheikh, a cousin of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief, Muhammad Yasin
Malik, succumbed to his injuries on late Wednesday night inflicted by the Indian personnel and kept in a New Delhi hospital. Additionally, at least 10 persons were injured by the alleged CRPF firing on protesters in Sopur. For the last six days Kashmir is under curfew round the clock (bangla-vision@yahoogroups.com, 18th September, 2010)."
The above are only a few of the hundreds of thousands of cases we would like to bring to your kind attention, your Excellency. We hereby request you to dispatch a fact finding mission to India to assess in depth the crimes committed against humanity by armed and law-enforcing agencies in ‘uniforms’ and bring the criminals before the International Court of Justice in the sameway as the U N has done to punish the criminals of the Rwanda and Serbia massacres in 2000; S. Milosevic of Serbia in July 2001; the former Serb police chief, Steven Todorovic, who pleaded guilty for torturing, murdering and sexually assaulting Muslims and Croats (National Post, 1st August, 2001, p A11); and Radislav Krstic for the Srebrenica genocide of Muslims in 1995 (National Post, August 3, 2001, p A3). The UN tribunal has taken a landmark decision recently to include “sex torture as a war crime” (National Post, February, 23, 2001). Also, the UN Secretary-General (former), His Excellency Kofi Annan’s interview (Time, 4th September, 2000) will be welcomed by the justice-loving peoples of our civilized world that “those who commit crimes and those who watch as bystanders are equally responsible for the crime taking place.” What we have brought to your attention, your Excellency, is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’ of human rights abuses, religious persecution(s), rapes, humiliation, dehumanization and crimes committed by the state-sanctioned armed personnel of what our civilized world terms as the “largest democracy” in the world, India. A leading magazine has pointed out “India is ruled by rascals.” “Many Indians silently witness their country’s unlawful events. Several members of the ruling party’s youth wing have in the past been charged with rapes and kidnapping. Officials respond that all parties have their thugs. Politicians use thugs to capture polling booths and stuff ballot boxes (The Economist, 15th July, 1995, p. 26).” According to the Hon Dana Rohrabacher, for the Sikhs, Kashmiri Muslims, and other minorities “India might as well be Nazi Germany” (Press Release: Council of Khalistan, Washington DC; June 27, 2001 < khalistan@khalistan.com>). Another Sikh, Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar, is about to be put to death in India for a crime even India admitted he didn't commit (Hon Edolphus Towns, MC. Proc House of Representatives, Washington DC, 18th March, 2003).
Manmohan Singh, the present Chief, Council of Ministers, a non-elected ‘Member of Parliament’ of India, supposed to be an honest and clean person delivered his state address before the “World Conference on Human Rights Delegates in Vienna,
Austria, on 24th June (14 to 25th June), 1993. He, then Finance Minister of the PV Rao’s administration, said that “ he being Sikh finds no abuses of Human Rights of Sikhs much less any minorities in India.” Another person, Shahabuddin, Manmohan
Singh’s colleague of the Islamic faith, said the same of Muslims of India. Abuses of Human Rights in the Sikhs’ holy and historic Homeland, Punjab, Khalistan (under the Brahmins-Hindus autocracy’s occupation, have been taking place, since 15th
August, 1947). Manmohan Singh’s statement was ‘refuted’ in the strongest possible words by the human rights and peace-loving citizens (delegates) of North America and elsewhere.
Your Excellency, following the execution of “Operation Bluestar” of June, 1984, an ‘undeclared’ war on the Sikh Nation, Punjab by the Indian armed forces, according to Sekhon (2009 ISBN 0-9548929-4-1). During “Operation Bluestar, June 1984”,
every village of the Sikhs’ holy and historic homeland, Punjab, was turned into a “Concentration Camp;” ’Open air’ jails were established outside every village of Punjab. These jails were covered by the barbed wires, in the heat of June – August
months, when the usual temperatures in Punjab are 47 C or more, had been under the supervision of the Indian armed personnel, were no less than the concentration camps of Adolf Hitler’s times in the Nazi Germany. These ‘open air’ barbed wire concentration camps/jails were used to prison the Sikhs indiscriminately regardless of gender and age. Sanitary facilities were virtually non-existent. This reflects the treatment of Indira Gandhi and her administration of the Brahmins autocracy to the Sikhs.”
Bibi Manjit Kaur Dakha (1992): Manjit Kaur Dakha and her husband sought political asylum in the United States after being tortured by the Indian armed personnel. Mrs. Dakha, her father, and her 6-mo-old daughter (Bhaghel Kaur) were tortured
mercilessly, given repeated death threats, and her child was made to sit on a colony of ants by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The daughter and father were made to beat each other with clubs.
Sardar Surinder Singh Fauji (a retired army personnel), of Fatehabad, Tehsil: Khadur Sahib of Amritsar district of Punjab, has been physically, mentally and psychologically tortured by Punjab police since May 27, 1986. Valuable household articles were
stolen by the police personnel from his residence never returned. Despite his writing to the Prime Minister (PV Rao), Home Minister of India (SB Chawan), Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High court, and the
Senior Session Judge, Amritsar, there was no relief from the police excesses.
More than 35 Sikh youth, including Kanwarpal Singh Bittu and Sarbjit Singh Ghuman of the Dal Khalsa, were in police custody. Similarly, Jagtaar Singh Hawara, his wife and other family members are humiliated (by putting cigarettes and tobacco in his mouth), tortured and harassed by the Punjab and Delhi police (www.panthic.org 17th July, 2005). Another Sikh leader, Daljit Singh Bittu, President, Panch Pradhani, and thousand of Sikh youth are in jails, without trials and crimes.
A human rights lawyer and prominent Sikh nationalist Harpal Singh Cheema, after spending eight years in a California jail, whom Judge Dana Keener determined Singh did not pose a threat to national security. The Hon judge stopped short of granting
him full asylum, but forbade the then-INS from deporting the couple. Indeed, she noted that Singh “is widely perceived as a moderate and a voice for reason (Camille T Tairara, Editor, New America Media, News Feature, Aug 07, 2006). To escape
atrocities and persecution during custody of the Indian law-enforcing personnel until 1992, Mr Cheema and his wife sought asylum in the United States in1993 (www.news.ncmonline.com/news/views_article.htmal? Mr Cheema is separated from his wife and son. Both mother and son are too scared to return to India.
In the mid 2007, Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann,President, Shromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Sardar Daljit Singh Bittu, the then Vice President, SAD-Amritsar, and Dr Sukhpreet Singh Udhoke were arrested, tortured and harassed by the Punjab police personnel and charged for the ‘treason against the Indian union’ for their peaceful demonstrations and free expression against the heavy handedness of the state personnel. In the alleged Indian democracy, the basic rights of citizens, i. e., free speech, are violated. Dr Udhoke’s publication was ceased and he was arrested.
Recently, in the second week of February, 2010, the Punjab police killed 13 youth in Ludhina district of Punjab, while they were participating in the Birthday celebrations of Shaheed-Bilas Saint-soldier Jarnail Singh Khalsa, Punjab’s political and religious leader of the 20th century (www.rozananaspokesman.com).
A mass Grave of Sikhs killed in November 1984 has been discovered after 26 years in village Hondh-Chillar, District Rewari, Haryana. The village was inhabited by several Sikh families. On November 2nd, 1984 in an organized and well planned attack, the entire village was burnt along with the Sikh population and Gurudwara. The village consisting of torched houses, a burnt Gurudwara and scattered human bones have now been discovered (www.punjabspectrum.com, 17th February, 2011).
It is learned from highly reliable sources that the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) had been operating at least four deep pans of boiled oil to kill alive the Sikh youth in Amritsar in the post-undeclared war on the occupied Sikh Nation, under the consent of the then administration of India.
Recently, in the second week of February, 2010, the Punjab police killed 13 youth in Ludhina district of Punjab, while they were participating in the Birthday celebrations of Shaheed-Bilas Saint-soldier Jarnail Singh Khalsa, Punjab’s political and religious leader (www.punjabspectrum.com, February 21, 2011).
According to the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the summons against Congress have been issued pursuant to a class action lawsuit filed (SFJ v. Congress (I) SDNY (10 CV 2940)) under Alien Tort Claims Act (ATCA) and Torture Victim Protection Act (TVPA). The plaintiffs in the case against Congress (I) are "Sikhs For Justice" (SFJ) a US based human rights group along with several Sikhs from different states and cities of India who survived attacks in November 1984 (3rd March, 2011, posted by SFJ on many websites).
We request you to bring to justice the deceased or living politicians of Indian administrations (Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Chandershekhar, P Chidambaram (now Home Minister of India; one of the members of a 3-men Team in the 'War Room'

Bhindranwale Said Attack “Will Lay Foundation of Khalistan”

Council of Khalistan Press Release
Sikhs Observe Anniversary of Golden Temple Massacre
Sikhs Never Forgive, Forget This Brutal Attack
Bhindranwale Said Attack “Will Lay Foundation of Khalistan”

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 4, 2011 – Sikhs from all over the East Coast gathered in Washington, D.C. today to commemorate the Indian government’s brutal military attack on the Golden Temple, the center and seat of the Sikh religion, and 37 other Sikh Gurdwaras throughout Punjab, in June 1984, in which over 20,000 Sikhs were murdered.  Similar events have been taking place in London, New York, several cities in Canada, at the United Nations, and around the world.
During the Golden Temple attack, young boys ages 8 to 13 were taken outside and asked if they supported Khalistan, the independent Sikh country.  When they answered with the Sikh religious phrase “Bole So Nihal,” they were shot to death. The Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh holy scriptures, written in the time of the Sikh Gurus, were shot full of bullet holes and burned by the Indian forces.  Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, General Shabeg Singh, Bhai Amrik Singh, and others will always be remembered as Sikh martyrs.  Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal, the leader of the Panthic Committee that declared the independence of Khalistan on October 7, 1987, was murdered in police custody.  He also will be remembered as a Sikh martyr.
The Golden Temple attack was a brutal chapter in India’s repression of the Sikhs, according to Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh, President of the Council of Khalistan, the government pro tempore of Khalistan, the Sikh homeland.  “Sikhs cannot forgive or forget this atrocity against the seat of our religion by the Indian government, said Dr. Aulakh “This brutal attack clarified that there is no place in India for Sikhs,” he said. “Sant Bhindranwale said that attacking the Golden Temple would lay the foundation stone of Khalistan, and he was right,” said Dr. Aulakh. “Instead of crushing the Sikh movement for Khalistan, as India intended, the attack strengthened it,” he said. “The flame of freedom still burns bright in the hearts of Sikhs despite the deployment of over half a million Indian troops to crush it,” he said.  Last year, former Member of Parliament Simranjit Singh Mann held a conference on Khalistan that was attended by over 100,000 people.  Dal Khalisa in Punjab has also passed resolutions for Khalistan and held marches for Khalistan.
A report issued by the Movement Against State Repression (MASR) shows that India admitted that it held 52,268 political prisoners under the repressive “Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act” (TADA) even though it expired in 1995. Many have been in illegal custody since 1984. There has been no list published of those who were acquitted under TADA and those who are still rotting in Indian jails. According to Amnesty International, there are tens of thousands of other minorities being held as political prisoners. MASR report quotes the Punjab Civil Magistracy as writing “if we add up the figures of the last few years the number of innocent persons killed would run into lakhs [hundreds of thousands.]” According to Sardar Mann, the Indian government has murdered over a million Sikhs since 1982.  This aligns with a threat made by the former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Balram Jakhar, who said, "If we have to kill a million Sikhs to preserve our territorial integrity, so be it." India has also killed more than 300,000 Christians in Nagaland, over 100,000 Muslims in Kashmir, tens of thousands of other Christians and Muslims throughout the country, and tens of thousands of Tamils, Assamese, Manipuris,  and others. The Indian Supreme Court called the Indian government's murders of Sikhs "worse  than a genocide.”
“Democratic” India continues to arrest people for engaging in free speech.  On February 27 in Jalandhar, former Member of Parliament Sardar Atinder Pal Singh, President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Khalistani), was arrested along with four other members of his party while putting up banners supporting Khalistan.  He was putting up the banners in preparation for a press conference about Khalistan.  Sardar Atinder Pal Singh was elected to Parliament in 1986 as an independent from Patiala.  In 2009, Sardar Daljit Singh Bittu, President of the Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani), was arrested for displaying pictures of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and speaking out in support of an independent Khalistan.  Two leading Sikh activists were arrested for peacefully protesting the construction of a statue to honor Beant Singh, the late Chief Minister who presided over the murder of tens of thousands of Sikhs.  A few years ago, 35 Sikh activists were arrested for making speeches and raising the flag of Khalistan.  Sedition charges were filed against 19 Sikh activists, including Dal Khalsa President Harcharanjit Singh Dhami.  Yet Dal Khalsa and other organizations had events to mark Khalistan Resolution Day on April 29, the anniversary of the 1986 resolution supporting an independent Khalistan.
On May 12, the Indian government removed the names of 140 people from its blacklist, including that of Dr. Aulakh.  “This will not make any difference to the movement to free Khalistan,” Dr. Aulakh said.  “I will be happy to go to Punjab to hoist the flag of a sovereign, independent Khalistan.  Only in a free Khalistan will the Sikh Nation prosper and get justice,” he said.  “When Khalistan is free, we will have our own Ambassadors, our own representation in the UN and other international bodies, and our own leaders to keep this sort of thing from happening,” said Dr. Aulakh.  “Democracies don’t commit genocide.  India should act like a democracy and allow a plebiscite on independence for Khalistan and all the nations of South Asia,” Dr. Aulakh said. “As Professor Darshan Singh, a former Jathedar of the Akal Takht, said, ‘If a Sikh is not a Khalistani, he is not a Sikh’,” Dr. Aulakh noted. “We must continue to pray and work for our God-given birthright of freedom.”

U r a crazy man, Awatar Singh Sekhon (Machaki)

Re: U r a crazy man
Mr Baljinder.....?
C/- ALLIANCEPETROLEUM@GMAIL>COM
Good Day, Sir!
Indeed, I am sitting in an AC room. This AC room is not like PUNJAB, the Sikhs' Holy and Historical Homeland, which was 'robbed' by the 'unelected' Brahmins-Hindus' leadership of the Congress and non-Sikh political parties on 15th August, 1947. Yes, prior to my retirement, my office was in an AC equipped building. It had/has been the 'Blessing of our Guru Sahibaans, Guru Baba Nanak Sahib to Guru Gobind Singh ji, Guru Granth Sahib and The Sikh Way of Life alias the Sikh Rahat Maryada'. With the grace of the Almighty, my children are sincere and do their work based on their professional qualifications. By the way, why are you going at the children level, Sir? I do not think that you are familiar with the Sikhs' History from the Sikh point of view. You are 'not' even familiar with the daily situations and conditions of more than 70% population (70% out of over 1.2 Billion official population) of the 'Brahmins-Hindus' demoncracy/democracy/autocracy. This 70% population go to sleep every night hungary, for 7 days a week and 365 days of the year, since 15th August, 1947. Have you ever thought of them, or you are busy in your business of Alliancepetroleum and give a damn to the inhumane conditions of 70% population?
I belong to the 'House of Guru Baba Nanak Sahib alias the Guru Khalsa Panth'. The 'House of Guru Baba Nanak Sahib or the Landless Sikh Nation, PUNJAB (under the occupation of the Brahmins-Hindus' divisive, devious, deceitful and apartheid practicing democracy, what is known to be the largest democracy of the world of our; of which the Prime Minister or the Chief, Council of Minister is NOT an elected 'Member of Parliament', dominated by the criminal politicians (The Economist, 15th July, 1995). The Institution of Democracy is being raped by the Brahmins-Hindus in the country, where 14% people has been ruling ever since 15th August, 1947.
Do not forget that "you and the Sikhs of the Landless Sikh Nation, PUNJAB" are criminals and danger to the "law-abiding" Hindus-Brahmins. Please be my guest for singing the 'Glory of the Brahmins-Hindus' demoncracy.
Also, do not forget the teachings of Guru Baba Nanak Sahib on the definition of the Brahmins: "Mathe Tikka Terrh Dhotti Kakhaii Hath Chhurri Jagat Kasaii;" which means "The Brahmin is the Butcher of our Peaceful World."
I have no problem at all to 'remove' your e-mail from my mailing. Let me say that "by closing the eyes by the pigeon, he cannot save his life from a cat," this is an old Punjabi saying.
May Waheguru ji bless you.
Sincere to the Guru Khalsa Panth,
Awatar Singh Sekhon (Machaki)

liberation of Khalistan

The Sikh nation must concentrate on the liberation of Khalistan
in order to avoid any future attacks
on the Darbar Sahib, considered the Mecca of Sikhs
Habib Yousafzai
A reader will guess from the title what is there in the story for him. Indian Constitution 1950 was rejected by the Sikh parliamentarian in 1948, 26th November, 1949, 1950 and 6th September, 1965 because it was unable to protect the rights of the Sikhs. The Brahmins-Hindus after receiving freedom from Britain on a platter began changing its colours like a chameleon. Within seven weeks of freedom, a circular was issued to the deputy commissioners warning them to keep an eye on the Sikhs as they are a menace to the law abiding Hindus. Hindu leadership had already calculated as how to evade the promises made to the Sikhs prior to freedom.
It is believed that the June 1984 attack on the Darbar Sahib also known as the Golden Temple, was already in plans on a Sikh religious day, the martyrdom of Fifth Master Janab Guru Arjan Sahib, the founder of the Darbar Sahib. It is widely viewed, the attack by the Indian army was an attempt to inflict maximum casualties of Sikhs to intimidate and suppress their voice for freedom of Khalistan.  Instead of apologizing for the innocent killings, the leading newspaper editors, such as Ramnath Goenka, were terming the attack as “A greater victory than the win over Bangladesh, this is the greatest victory of Mrs. Indira Gandhi”. The Indian army general S.K. Sinha who was sacked because of his disagreement of the attack along with Mark Tully reported that in October 1983 the Indian Army selected 600 soldiers from different units and sent them to rehearse the attack on a replica of the Darbar Sahib at a secret location in the Chakrata Hills about 150 miles north of Delhi in the Doon Valley.
Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, under the pretext of removing Sikh freedom fighters, ordered the attack upon the Darbar Sahib in Amritsar.  The religious leaders, led by Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale (Shaheed) were accused of amassing weapons in the Sikh Gurduwara.  On June 03, 1984, a 36 hour curfew was imposed on the state of Punjab with all methods of communication and public travel suspended.  Electricity supplies were also interrupted, creating a total blackout and cutting off the state from the rest of India and the world. Complete censorship was enforced on the news media.  The Indian Army stormed the Darbar Sahib on the night of June 5th under the command of Kuldip Singh Brar.  Pilgrims consisting of women, children and others including Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale (Shaheed) and Major General Shahbeg Singh were also mercilessly killed.
Due to the planned and systematic killing of Sikhs, four months after the attack on the Darbar Sahib, on October 31, 1984, Indira Gandhi was assassinated by two of her Sikh bodyguards in what is viewed as an act of vengeance.  As per reports of human rights agencies, more than 260,000 Sikhs were killed.
The Sikh nation stood up demanding Khalistan.  In order to defame the liberation movement, the Indian government began the militancy themselves to terrorize the population and give the cause of Sikh freedom a bad name.  Police would pose as militants, demand food and money, and rape Sikh women, then the next day the police would return, charge the residents with “harboring militants”, and beat them.
At the time of partition, the Hindu-Brahmins diverted the Sikh attention from the real goal of reinstating their own government which was taken away by Britain in 1849.The Sikh government, PUNJAB of monarch Ranjit Singh, 1799 to 14th March, 1849 was the "FIRST SOVEREIGN AND SECULAR NATION" of South Asia. Would anybody find the word 'India' on the world map or in any dictionary or Encyclopedia of the English language? The Brahmin-Hindus used the Sikhs against Muslims and did not let them concentrate on obtaining Khalistan.  If Sikhs continue to stray from the real goal it will be difficult to free themselves from the shackles of slavery.
