Sidhu Sahib Ji you have done a great deal of Research on Embedded Journalism in
India and Punjab since 1980. Attached is an old news item published on 4
August, 1996 in Indian Express and also Tribune., that claims that as per Bibi
Parmjit Kaur Khalra,she believe that her Husband is still alive two years
after his abduction by Mr. Ashok Kumar DSP stationed in Bhikhiwind.; Surinder
Pal Singh SHO Sarhali; Satnam Singh SHO Jhabal; Jasbir Singh SHO Manochahal;
Prithipal Singh -Head Constable Manochal, and Surinder Pal Singh SP (HQ)
Tarn Taran under direct order of KPS Gill.
Sardar
Jaswant Singh was spotted at and kept at sarhali. Valtoha, Kapurthala, Sangrur,
Chandigarh (Kothi of SSP Mr. Ajit Singh Sandhu of Tarn Taran. has personal
grudge against Sardar Khalra over the disappearances of Sikh Youth in Punjab,
because Mr.Khalra was exposed internationally, the Evil Deeds of Punjab Police
in Tortures, Killings in fake encounters, Disappearances and secret cremations,
after declaring them "unclaimed bodies" without knowledge of their
parents, guardians or next of kin.Sardar Khalra Collected concrete evidences
that about 25,000 Sikh Youth in Punjab had been killed in police custody and
fake encounters by Taran Taran Police alone since 1984.
Sardar
Khalra told the the Sikh Organization in Ottawa that "Mr. Ajit Sandhu has
Threatened and told him to stop reporting his findings in press and said,"
if we are to be accountable for 25,000 bodies, we can eliminate you and can be
accountable for 25K bodies also.".
On 22nd of
September another habeas-corpus petition was filed in Punjab & Haryana high
court by Mr. Navkiran Singh - a Chandigarh based advocate, but The Chief
Justice of Punjab and Haryans High Court- Mr. S.P. Kurduker refused to send a
warrant officer to Sarhali where Mr.Khalra was kept at that time.
For unknown
reasons The CBI showed long delay in Case of Mr.Khalra to arrest the abducting
Police Culprits, WHEREAS , In case of Mr.Beant Singh (Congress Ex Chief
Minister ,Punjab) case of assination CBI arrested the persons involved with in
days of 31st August,1995..
Mr. Ajit
Sandhu ordered DSP Ashok Kumar to arrest immediately Mr. Rajiv Singh ( An
eyewitness of Mr. Khalra's Abduction and five others ( Satnam Singh,
Satinder Singh,Balwinder Singh Jhabal, Surinder Singh Ghariala and Kirpal Singh
Sultanwind) who were pursuing Khalra Abduction Case actively.. Khalra Case
Action Committee has held a large rally at Chandigarh on 28 September,1995, and
Delhi March on 10th December,1995. Another Punjab Level meeting of various democratic
bodies was planned to be held on 30th January,1996.
We ow know
that Sardar Khalra was tortured in Police Custody and killed by Police in the
fist week of October. His body was thrown in Indra Canal at the place of BIAS
river.

HISTORY OF THE WORLD., AND WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED WITH LOVE AND

Today (The
30 August) had been declared International Day of the Victims of Enforced
Disappearances. The Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon asking the Terrorist
states like India to implement the UN Convention without Delay. They had been
asking the State actors to implement Laws against EVIL of Torture in Police
Custody also for decades now. The Status Quo Continues, Because the UN members
do not have enough clout Or TEETH to force the CIVILISED behaviour of
terrorist States, and people are making noise to eliminate Terrorism ! How any
one can eliminate Terrorism without fist eliminating the State
Terrorism??????????????????? They will continue to burn candles on the tomb
stones of the victims of State terrorism. WHERE WOULD THE PLACE THE CANDLES ON
THOSE VICTIMS SUCH AS SHAHEED JASWANT SINGH KHALRA AND THOUSANDS OTHERS IN PUNJAB
WHOSE BODIES WERE THROWN IN RIVERS,CANALS AND SECRET CREMATORIES, etc.
Disappearances started happening on large scale due to the requirements forced
(although in good faith) by Human Rights organizations to register FIRs.
However, the EVIL Police did away with FIRs, and their Collaborators such as
Mr.S.P.Kurduker-Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court refused to
issue warrant to produce Human Rights Activist Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra
before the Court. If he would have done his duty to JUSTICE perhaps Sardar
Jaswant Singh Khalra may have been alive today and presenting the cases of
25,000 victims of Disappearances in TarnTaran alone,.And may be The Evil
Superintendent Police Ajit Sahdhu would not have to commit Suicide and
the Real Criminals like KPS Gill and Congress CM Beant Singh would have been
behind bars unable to hurt Innocent and helpless people in Punjab
