Dr. Aulakh Appeals to Jathedar
Ranjit Singh:
Help Stop Moral Decline of Sikh
Nation
WASHINGTON,
D.C., December 14, 2012 ? Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh, President of the Council of
Khalistan, today appealed to former Jathedar of the Akal Takht Bhai Ranjit
Singh to help stop the moral degeneracy of the Sikh Nation in Punjab, as
demonstrated by the recent murder of a police official by Ranjit Singh Rana,
general secretary of the Youth Akail Dal in the Amritsar district. Rana
was arrested for the murder of police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ravinder
Pal Singh after Singh demanded that Rana stop harassing his daughter, Robinjeet
Kaur.
?The
situation of the Sikh Nation in Punjab has deteriorated very badly,? Dr. Aulakh
said. ?It has gone from bad to worse. The Killing of Ravinder Pal
Singh shows that Punjab is a Badal Goonda Raj,? he said. ?The Sikh Nation
cannot tolerate these insults,? he said. ?We used to save the honor of the
daughters of others. Now our own daughters are being dishonored by the
goons of the Badal Akali Dal.?
?It is
shameful that the Akali Dal has made a person like this one of its leaders,?
said Dr. Aulakh. ?Previously, as the late General Narinder Singh said, it
was a police state in Punjab. Now it has deteriorated into a Badal Goonda
state. The Badal regime has completely destroyed the Sikh religion and
Sikh values.? Dr. Aulakh said that to stop this moral deterioration, the
Sikh Nation will need a very strong leader who has morality and courage.
?Jathedar Ranjit Singh has shown that. He is the person who can
take this challenge and restore the respect and honor of the daughters of
Punjab.?
?As long as
Punjab, Khalistan remains under Indian occupation, things like this are going
to keep happening,? said Dr. Aulakh. ?The cure is a sovereign, independent
Khalistan,? he said. ?In a free Khalistan, nobody will dare to do the
kinds of things that Ranjit Singh Rana did. This incident has shocked and
angered the Sikh Nation,? he said. ?News has spread throughout the Sikh
diaspora worldwide. It is being discussed in every Gurdwara
congregation,? he said. ?The cure for this is a free Khalistan, which you
and other Jathedars have previously endorsed,? he said.
?Badal has
completely corrupted the Sikh Nation,? said Dr. Aulakh. He and his
cronies have completely destroyed the Sikh religion and Sikh values, which is a
major goal of the Indian regime.? According to India-West, the Punjab
Vigilance Bureau carried out raids on Badal's properties for several months and
filed a charge-sheet in a local court charging Mr. Badal with siphoning off Rs.
784 million, the equivalent of $17 million in U.S. money, during his prior term
as chief minister. The Badal government was the most corrupt one in
Punjab's history. They sold jobs for a fixed fee. They came up with a new,
dignified term for bribery: ``fee for service.'' If you didn't pay the fee, you
didn't get the service. The Chief Minister's late wife was so experienced that
she could pick up a bag of money and tell how much money was in it.
?We must
bring back the values of the Sikh religion as established by the Sikh gurus,?
said Dr. Aulakh. He said that in the Sikh religion, unlike other
religions, women are equal to men. ?I ask Member of Parliament Harsimran
Kaur, the daughter-in-law of Badal, where is she? Why hasn?t she spoken
up? What is she doing to save the honor of the Sikh women in Punjab?
Her party goons dishonor the women of Punjab, and she says nothing.
This kind of environment cannot last for long,? Dr. Aulakh said.
?Everything has an end. I strongly suggest that this goondaism must
stop.?
?I challenge
the Akali leadership,? said Dr. Aulakh. ?What has happened to your
conscience? Look at the old Akalis who freed Gurdwaras from Mahants, got
freedom from the British, and sacrificed their lives for the future of the Sikh
Nation. You are using their good name to get political power,? Dr. Aulakh
said. ?They would be ashamed to have their name used this way. It
is incumbent on you to live up to those expectations and free Khalistan.
Without a sovereign, independent Khalistan, the Sikhs remain slaves.
Is that the legacy of the Akali Dal?? Dr. Aulakh said that Chief
Minister Badal has shown himself to be an agent of the Indian government.
So are the current Akal Takht Jathedar, Gurbachan Singh, and S. Avtar
Singh Makkar, the President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak
Committee (SGPC.)
?We
need a free Khalistan,? said Dr. Aulakh. ?Only a free and independent
Khalistan will allow the Sikhs to end the moral degeneration of our people.
As Professor Darshan Singh said, ?If a Sikh is not a Khalistani, he is
not a Sikh?,? Dr. Aulakh noted. ?I urge Jathedar Ranjit Singh to take up this
banner.?
