THE KASHMIRIS OF (JKLF) PROTESTED ON WORLD HUMAN
RIGHTS DAY
AT THE INDIAN HIGH COMMISSION IN LONDON AGAINST THE
GRAVE HUMAN
RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN IDA: JK
ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!
On
December 10, 2012 the Kashmiris of (JKLF) protested on World Human Rights Day.
The protest took place at the Indian High Commission in London against the
grave human rights abuses in the occupied territories of Jammu and Kashmir
[also known as Internationally Disputed Areas of Jammu and Kashmir (IDA:JK)].
The protest were also heavily opposed to the TADA law which was rhetorically
repealed in India as far back as 1995 but is still used and enforced in order
to suppress the freedom of speech and peaceful protest in the occupied
territories. Such laws maintain the status quo in India as they deter movements
against the Indian government. Furthermore, these laws are totally counterproductive
to rational decision making of a state that is supposedly democratic and
abiding by international law as by suppressing the voice of dissent, IDA: JK
will not become any more of a legal entity. This is to assert that the
occupation by Indian forces is of an illegal nature and that they must withdraw
their troops immediately and allow for the right to self-determination.
