Senior Hurriyat member and chairman Islamic political party (JK) Mr.Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement to the press has said that 6th December will always be remembered as the black day and grave tragedy by Muslims in particular and human hearts in general as on this tragic day in 1992 the communal extremist Hindus of India demolished centuries old Babri Masjid to pave the way for construction of Ram Mandir on the demolition site. These communal minded extremist Hindus also brutally killed 2000 innocent Muslims. The properties of Muslims were looted and burnt. Muslim women were stripped, naked and raped in Surat and other parts of India and these intolerable, cruel shameful acts were video graphed. This tragedy deeply injured the religious sentiments of Muslims. The insult was too deep to be healed. As per media reports that time Prime Minister of so called largest democratic and secular India was covertly supportive of these inhuman, anti Muslim and anti Islam actions of Hindu communal extremists, aimed at raising Ram Mandir on demolition site. The injuries of this grave tragedy were fresh that Allahabad High Court instead of ordering reconstruction of Babri Masjid passed an unjust and partial order of dividing Babri Masjid site and its adjacent areas between Hindus and Muslims to rub salt to their injuries and bruised religious sentiments. Mr.Naqash urged Muslims to fight jointly for the reconstruction of Babri Masjid. Mr.Naqash strongly condemned the house arrest of highly respectable prominent pro freedom leader and Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Mr. Syed Ali Shah Geelani by occupation forces and said that that he was not going to battle ground but for peace march to pacify the already charged and tense situation due to sectarian divide and clashes. His intention which he had before revealed to media was to appeal Muslims for maintaining cool and harmony. But the ill intentions of occupation authorities got exposed by house arresting Janab Geelani Sahab. Mean while Mr.Naqash along with senior pro freedom leader and Chairman National Front Mr.Nayeem Ahmad Khan visited Mawar Handwara yesterday to pay homage to the deceased father of Mr.Abdul Hameed Lone who is the representative of Islamic political party (Jk) in Azad Kashmir. Both expressed solidarity with Mr.Abdul Hameed Lone and other members of bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
