Legitimacy of SGPC
and Sarbat Khalsa

can not be selected by Sarbat Khalsa but can be selected by elected body
SGPC" Said Makkar. It is a self defeating statement as current SGPC
working body is nominated not elected as per Supreme Court orders . Who elected
Mr Makkar as SGPC president ? Since the SGPC election was nullified by Supreme
Court and working committee was nominated not elected. Elected SGPC members did
not even take a oath of membership. So Mr Makkar does not know his legal
standing or is he suffering from dementia ? On the other hand Sarbat Khalsa is
the most democratic Panthic institution which by definition mean a people
gathering of different Panthic organizations and Panth itself , so Jathedars
selected by Sarbat Khalsa are approved by people in the gathering of hundreds
of thousands people . So Mr Makkar your statement does not have legal standing
and you are talking about technicalities of selection of Jathedars by 'elected
SGPC' ! which is no more elected and on the other hand Jathedars approved by
Sarbat Khalsa is a democratic Panthic institution.
